Physics Teacher – Full‑Time Position

About the role

The French‑Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) seeks a dedicated Physics Teacher to join its Education department. The position starts in September 2025 and involves delivering undergraduate physics courses in English, supporting student research, and contributing to curriculum adaptation for local requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars covering mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics and modern physics.
• Design, administer and grade mid‑term and final examinations, as well as student projects.
• Maintain course materials and communication through the Moodle learning platform.
• Supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with the department to align the UNISTRA curriculum with Azerbaijani academic standards.
• Provide academic guidance, resolve student issues and refer them to appropriate services when needed.

Required profile

• PhD in Physics or a closely related field, or active enrollment in a PhD program with strong academic credentials.
• Fluent in English and Azerbaijani; knowledge of French is a strong asset.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at the bachelor level.
• Student‑centered teaching philosophy with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Moodle or similar learning management systems.
