Physics Laboratory Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Physics Laboratory Assistant will support teaching activities at the French‑Azerbaijani University (UFAZ). Working under the supervision of the Physics Teacher Coordinator, the assistant ensures that laboratory sessions run smoothly and safely for students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials before each class.
• Assist students and instructors during lab sessions, providing technical support and guidance.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Enforce safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of materials.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and reorder items when necessary.
• Help develop and test new experiments and laboratory procedures.
• Clean and store equipment after use and ensure all safety equipment is operational.
• Provide basic training to students on instrument use and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Physics with a high academic average or honors.
• Excellent command of English for instruction in a physics context.
• Strong commitment to high‑quality education and an inclusive learning environment.
• International laboratory experience in academic research or the chemical industry is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with LibreOffice.
