Operations Support Engineer – Subsea (Baku)

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Support Engineer to join Expro’s Subsea product line in Baku. The role involves delivering engineering solutions that meet client requirements, industry standards and operational excellence in challenging offshore environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to operations and project teams.
• Develop and review designs, drawings and technical documentation, including BOMs, procedures and manufacturing files.
• Perform engineering calculations and design safe, reliable, cost‑effective equipment compliant with standards and certification requirements.
• Use 2D CAD software to create and maintain engineering designs and manage documentation in the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings and technical discussions.
• Support training of engineering and operational personnel.
• Review and approve supplier and contractor invoices.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices and ensure timely processing through approved workflows.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using computer‑aided engineering techniques, including 2D and 3D modelling.
• Proven experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, systems and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Experience in the oil & gas or energy sector is preferred.
