Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer – Baku (Expat)

About the role

PD&MS Group is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer to join its Baku operations on a full‑time, long‑term rotational basis. The role focuses on delivering drilling‑based modification projects across electrical, instrumentation, telecoms and hydraulic domains while supporting the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the discipline focal point for Hydrogen, Decarbonisation, Oil & Gas and Renewables projects.
• Deliver drilling‑based modification projects, including electrical, instrument, telecoms and hydraulic installations.
• Execute engineering activities from concept and FEED through detailed design and technical studies.
• Assess and improve working practices, systems, and team performance.
• Prepare and review estimates, schedules and project documentation.
• Provide technical assistance and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• BSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Significant experience in detailed design engineering and engineering checking on EPC, brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Strong knowledge of oil & gas industry codes, standards and relevant engineering disciplines.
• Experience with Autodesk design products and MS Office applications.
• Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA‑EBS & MIST advantageous.
