Group Sales Manager – Local

About the role

The Group Sales Manager (Local) will champion the Marriott brand both internally and externally, ensuring a seamless guest experience. This role combines operational oversight with guest‑service excellence, acting as the first point of contact for guest requests and internal coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Promote awareness of the Marriott brand image across all touchpoints.
• Prioritize and resolve outstanding guest requests or issues from the previous day.
• Accurately receive, record, and relay messages.
• Follow up with guests to confirm satisfaction with resolutions.
• Attend daily line‑ups promptly and greet guests in the lobby as assigned.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.
• Adhere to all company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in written documents.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost‑savings.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
