International Aid and Cooperation Officer

About the role

The Delegation of the European Union is seeking an International Aid and Cooperation Officer to support EU‑funded programmes in Azerbaijan. Working under the Head of Cooperation, you will contribute to trade, export facilitation, customs and border management projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining, implementing and monitoring EU‑funded programmes and projects relevant to Azerbaijan.
• Support initiatives focused on trade and export facilitation, customs procedures, border management and security.
• Coordinate with EU bodies, local authorities and partners to ensure effective project delivery.
• Track project progress, prepare regular reports and ensure compliance with EU regulations.
• Provide analytical input for programme evaluation and future planning.

Required profile

• University degree in International Relations, Economics, Law or a related field.
• Experience in development cooperation, trade facilitation or customs management.
• Knowledge of EU funding mechanisms and programme implementation.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively in English.
• Analytical mindset with strong reporting skills.
