System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive System Engineer to join our IT team. The role focuses on managing Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, storage infrastructure and ensuring high availability and security across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS) environments.
• Configure and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix and KVM.
• Perform regular backups, system updates and patch management.
• Monitor server performance, security logs and enforce IT policy compliance.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell or Bash scripting.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot physical server hardware (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco).
• Oversee SAN, NAS and distributed storage solutions, including RAID configurations.
• Implement monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) and generate performance and security reports.
• Administer ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk) and follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem and change management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on system administration experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCSA, VCP, ITIL) are a plus.
