QA Engineer - Payments Business

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our payment systems. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, identify defects, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver best‑in‑class solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile and backend applications.
• Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring thorough coverage.
• Identify, report and track defects to resolution while maintaining high quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and guarantee proper test coverage.
• Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance on testing practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes, tools and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance best practices and standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of testing experience, including at least 1 year in banking or financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of industry‑specific requirements and testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and knowledge of the full SDLC.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and create relevant test cases.
• Effective communication with development teams, analysts and business stakeholders.
• Proven mentoring experience, guiding less‑experienced engineers.

Required skills

• Java programming for test automation.
• SQL query writing (JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, subqueries, aggregates).
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or TeamCity.
• Log analysis and monitoring tools like Kibana, Splunk or the ELK Stack.
• Automation testing on mobile and backend platforms.
• Agile and Scrum methodologies.
