Finance Business Partner – Marketing & Commercial

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join Birmarket, Azerbaijan’s leading marketplace. The role sits at the intersection of Finance, Marketing and Commercial teams, supporting growth initiatives and improving unit economics through data‑driven analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial planning, forecasting and performance management for Marketing and Commercial functions.
• Partner with stakeholders on promotional calendars, marketing campaigns, credit programs and growth initiatives.
• Build business cases and financial models to support strategic decisions and investments.
• Act as finance owner of the 1P business, overseeing pricing, inventory turnover and margin management.
• Develop and optimise merchant commissions, customer pricing and marketplace tariffs.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, ARPU, ARPPU, LTV, customer retention and overall business performance.
• Analyse business results and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance or Business Finance.
• Background in e‑commerce, marketplaces, retail‑tech or other digital businesses.
• Proven track record of partnering with Marketing, Commercial, Growth or Product teams.
• Experience with 1P sales models and strong understanding of e‑commerce unit economics.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• SQL knowledge (strong advantage).
