Senior Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Well Intervention Engineer to design, evaluate, and execute well intervention solutions that restore production, improve well integrity, and maximize asset value across the field lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define intervention strategies for mature wells, including production enhancement, sand, scale, water, wax remediation, rig‑less interventions, workovers, clean‑out, water shut‑off, integrity remediation and abandonment preparation.
• Select and evaluate downhole tools, technologies, deployment methods and operational approaches to address production, injectivity, access and integrity challenges.
• Integrate reservoir, production, well‑integrity, completion, logistics, HSE and commercial requirements into practical solutions.
• Develop intervention sequences, resource plans, pressure‑control philosophies, logistics plans, cost drivers and schedules.
• Quantify production restoration, injectivity improvement, risk reduction and abandonment readiness to support investment decisions.
• Review scopes for technical realism and alignment with field development objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor engineering teams while supporting customer discussions and proposal development.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in well intervention (operator and service‑provider environments).
• Strong expertise in well‑intervention and well‑integrity operations.
• Deep understanding of downhole tools and a broad range of intervention technologies.
