Project Quality Manager

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead the definition, implementation and monitoring of quality management systems for its major engineering and construction projects. The role ensures that all project activities comply with Saipem’s corporate Quality Management System and contractual quality requirements, supporting the company’s commitment to sustainable and safe project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) and prepare Project Quality Plans and procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the Company QMS when changes are made for the project.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project quality risks and opportunities throughout execution.
• Plan, conduct and monitor quality audits, issue audit reports and follow up corrective actions.
• Ensure contractual quality requirements are identified, communicated and implemented.
• Conduct external audits and qualification assessments of vendors and subcontractors.
• Establish and implement risk‑based supplier and subcontractor quality surveillance programs.
• Monitor vendor and subcontractor quality performance and promote improvement initiatives.
• Plan and allocate quality resources across the project, coordinating with quality functions.
• Support the Project Manager in relations with the client, certification bodies and authorities.
• Participate in project management meetings to align quality activities with overall project execution.
• Prepare and issue QC specifications, Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and related procedures.
• Oversee site quality control activities, manage non‑conformities, concessions and related reporting.
