Production Technologist (Oilfield Services)

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Oilfield Services team in Baku as a Production Technologist. You will apply advanced production technology expertise to multi‑disciplinary projects that help clients optimise their energy extraction assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide segment‑related analysis using state‑of‑the‑art techniques to deliver best‑in‑class solutions.
• Lead analytical and design activities, employing proven technologies and methodologies.
• Work both independently and within diversified teams, producing and presenting industry papers.
• Present technical insights to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, illustrating how technologies interconnect.
• Act as the primary customer contact for specific products or services, understanding market size and challenges.
• Serve as the local focal point for development, implementation, or optimisation of deliverables, services, or processes.
• Assist in authoring training content and facilitate internal training courses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s or Doctorate is a plus).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering/technology, preferably in geoservices, subsurface, petroleum, or production engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge of production technology and ability to discuss discipline applications with clients.
• Experience across multiple petroleum basins and an understanding of geological settings and reservoir complexities.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English.
