IT Service Engineer – Systems Administrator

About the role

SICPA is looking for an IT Service Engineer – Systems Administrator to ensure the availability, security and performance of its solutions. You will manage infrastructure, support production environments and work closely with local and global teams to deliver reliable IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain systems hosting business applications and databases, including storage, backup and monitoring.
• Operate and support IT solutions using tools such as Puppet, Nagios and Splunk.
• Perform system administration tasks: patch management, capacity planning, backup and recovery.
• Ensure system security and compliance with global IT policies and standards.
• Configure, maintain and operate solution monitoring tools and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary.
• Support disaster recovery activities and meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Collaborate with local and global teams for efficient service delivery and continuous optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of systems administration experience in a production, data‑centre or managed‑services environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Fluent English (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Client administration.
• Storage (SAN), networking and virtualization technologies, especially VMware.
• Active Directory, LDAP and VPN administration.
• ITIL principles and best practices.
• Puppet, Nagios, Splunk or similar enterprise infrastructure tools.
• Configuration Management Database (CMDB) maintenance.
• Backup, recovery, patch management and capacity planning.
• Disaster recovery planning and SLA compliance.
• Vendor management.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) – advantage.
• Cisco certification – advantage.
