Technical Department Expert (Payments Systems Department)

About the role

The bank is seeking a Technical Department Expert to manage and support its payment card operating system (SmartVista) and related infrastructure. The role ensures continuous, 24/7 processing of payment services and maintains the integrity of the card registry.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the SmartVista payment card system, monitor resources, and coordinate integration with internal and external infrastructures.
• Perform technical tuning, updates, and patching of the system in agreement with the department director.
• Raise and follow up queries with vendors and relevant parties to resolve technical incidents.
• Oversee updates of web, front‑end, back‑end components and supervise the underlying database.
• Maintain and regularly refresh the registry of issued payment cards.
• Conduct investigations and searches related to card transactions.
• Cover duties of the card personalization team during absences.
• Execute Oracle system upgrades, patch installations, and BIN updates.
• Comply with all corporate directives, board decisions, and internal policies.

Required profile

• Excellent Azerbaijani, high English, and intermediate Russian language proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree (any field).
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to follow supervisory guidance and avoid actions that disrupt team dynamics.

Required skills

• Experience with SmartVista payment system administration.
• Oracle database maintenance, patching, and BIN management.
• SQL (high proficiency) and PL/SQL (basic).
• Solid knowledge of payment systems, issuer services, and settlement processes.
