Server - Hotel Restaurant

About the role

A full-time server position in a hotel restaurant in Baku, within the Accor group. The server prepares the outlet for service, takes orders, serves guests and keeps the station tidy, working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the outlet for operation, including mise-en-place, setting and resetting tables, light cleaning and other assigned tasks.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and upsell wherever possible.
• Use the outlet point-of-sale system as prescribed and record all sales correctly, following procedures for ordering, voiding or correcting items.
• Serve food and beverages according to established standards and follow presentation guidelines set by the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Clear tables and remove dirty dishes to the dish area.
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Be flexible with guests' special requests for preparation methods and ingredients, and keep the assigned station clean and orderly.
• Ensure company minimum brand standards are met and optional brand standards where appropriate.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food and beverage operation, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant, is an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality qualification is an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance and excellent grooming standards.
• Highly responsible and reliable, able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
