Project Associate – Women’s Economic Empowerment (Azerbaijan)

About the role

UN Women is seeking a Project Associate to support its Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) portfolio in Azerbaijan. The associate will focus on projects that promote women’s participation in the world of work, especially through private‑sector engagement anchored in the Women’s Empowerment Principles.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and logistical support for the design, planning and implementation of WEE programmes.
• Assist in preparing work plans, budgets, proposals and reporting documents.
• Offer technical guidance to the Country Office and executing agencies on routine delivery and financial reporting.
• Prepare information for programme audits and support the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Coordinate with programme and operations teams in Azerbaijan, Georgia and the ECA Regional Office, as well as with national partners, to ensure successful delivery of project results.

Required profile

• National of Azerbaijan.
• Experience in administrative support for development programmes.
• Familiarity with budgeting, proposal preparation and audit processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with UN and partner organisations.
