Operational Resilience Senior Specialist – Hybrid

About the role

Azercell is seeking an Operational Resilience Senior Specialist to strengthen the security and continuity of its data centre and critical telecom infrastructure. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with internal teams, contractors and external authorities to ensure robust operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with data‑centre security procedures, corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage insurance incidents, coordinate investigations and liaise with government bodies and external stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks across data centres, radio base stations and other critical assets.
• Oversee internal teams and contractors, guaranteeing adherence to security standards.
• Support audits, inspections and compliance reviews in line with industry standards.
• Partner with Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity teams to improve infrastructure readiness.
• Monitor and optimise CCTV, access‑control, fire‑detection, water‑leak, humidity and temperature systems, including health‑checks and automated alerts.
• Coordinate backup and disaster‑recovery testing to validate infrastructure availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, IT, Security Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT/security projects or delivering infrastructure solutions.
• Proven experience in incident management, operational risk assessment or critical‑infrastructure operations.
• Strong knowledge of data‑centre power, cooling, networking, fire protection and DCIM platforms.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, ITIL, PMP, CCNA or ISO 22301 Lead Auditor are an advantage.
• Excellent communication in Azerbaijani and English; Russian is a plus.
