Lead AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive the creation of cutting‑edge Generative AI solutions. You will guide a high‑performing team, shape the technical roadmap, and deliver enterprise‑grade AI systems that generate measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical vision for scalable, robust AI applications, including multi‑agent workflows and custom search engines.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business objectives into AI roadmaps and LLM‑driven solutions.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, architecture, data pipelines, prompt management, and automated evaluation.
• Mentor junior and senior developers, lead design reviews, and promote best‑practice development.
• Direct R&D on emerging models, prototype proofs‑of‑concept, and standardize tooling for Generative AI.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a Lead, Principal, or Senior AI/Software Engineering role with production‑grade AI/ML deliveries.
• At least 1 year of formal leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business discussions.

Required skills

• Python (expert level) and FastAPI or equivalent web framework.
• Core NLP concepts: semantic similarity, tokenization, NER, text classification.
• Generative AI patterns: Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), autonomous multi‑agent networks, tool integration.
• Experience with major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Gemini).
• Framework orchestration tools such as LangGraph or LlamaIndex.
• UI/UX prototyping with Streamlit, Gradio, or similar.
• Optimization for performance, security (prompt‑injection mitigation, data privacy), and cloud cost efficiency.
