About the role
The Fleet Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) ensures that all vessel electrical and electronic systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with international standards and company policies. You will support the Service Centre, monitor safety performance, and act as a key technical resource for fleet vessels.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISM, MLC, ISPS and company SMS/BMS procedures.
- Support service centre and fleet vessels by monitoring business ethics, reporting deviations, and participating in HSE programs.
- Manage the Maintenance Management System, ensuring timely record keeping and audit readiness.
- Diagnose, repair, calibrate, and modify electronic and instrumentation systems, including PLCs and networking drive controls.
- Rebuild printed circuit boards, read electronic blueprints, and maintain electronic inventory.
- Enforce permit‑to‑work and energy‑isolation procedures, and ensure safe systems of work are applied.
- Coach and train junior ETOs, complete required training, and produce drawings and reports for tasks.
- Liaise with OEMs and external contractors for equipment breakdowns and installations.
Required profile
- Proven experience working on marine or fleet electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and safety management systems.
- Ability to work on board vessels and handle confidential operational information.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting
