Deals Senior Consultant – Due Diligence & Valuations

About the role

PwC’s Deals practice is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Advisory department in Baku. You will work on financial due diligence and valuation engagements, helping clients navigate acquisitions, divestitures and other transaction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial due diligence on buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, analysing earnings quality, net debt, working capital and identifying key risks.
• Build, review and maintain valuation models using DCF, trading and transaction multiples for M&A, purchase price allocation and impairment testing.
• Lead day‑to‑day workstreams, ensure quality and timeliness, and mentor junior team members.
• Prepare clear due‑diligence and valuation reports and present findings to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Support business development activities, including proposals and client relationship building.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification in progress or completed (CFA, ASA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience in transaction services, financial due diligence, valuations or corporate finance within a Big 4 environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• PowerPoint for report writing and presentations.
• Data‑analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau.
• Market databases including Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv and Mergermarket.
