Assistant Sales Manager - Wholesale

About the role

Accor is looking for an Assistant Sales Manager in Baku to support the Sales Team in reaching wholesale sales targets and commercial objectives. The role centres on building and managing relationships with key wholesalers and acting as the main contact for assigned wholesale accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with key wholesalers and act as the primary contact for assigned wholesale accounts.
• Monitor sales performance, bookings, revenue and market trends, and identify opportunities to increase sales and market share across wholesale channels.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts and performance updates.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns, special offers and commercial initiatives with wholesale partners.
• Work closely with reservations, contracting, marketing, finance, operations and other internal departments.
• Ensure agreed commercial terms, rates, promotions and contracts are implemented accurately.
• Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence to sales management.
• Assist with negotiations and commercial discussions with existing and prospective partners.
• Maintain accurate records of account activity, opportunities and sales performance, and guide colleagues in the sales team when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in wholesale sales, travel, tourism, hospitality or a related commercial environment.
• Proven experience managing B2B accounts and business relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and commercial objectives.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.

Required skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities, including confidence with sales data, forecasts and performance reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
