Sustainability & Environmental Manager (Azerbaijan)

About the role

We are seeking a Sustainability & Environmental Manager to lead and coordinate our environmental and sustainability activities across the organization in Azerbaijan. The role works closely with internal departments and external partners, providing guidance, monitoring regulations, and supporting reporting and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate company-wide environmental and sustainability initiatives, ensuring objectives are met.
• Monitor relevant legislation, regulations and standards, informing the business of developments and assessing impacts.
• Manage sustainability and environmental projects across departments, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Collect, analyse and consolidate environmental data to support reporting, KPIs and disclosures.
• Prepare and coordinate sustainability reports, documentation and management information.
• Provide guidance on environmental matters, raise internal awareness and deliver training initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with consultants, auditors, authorities and other external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental management, environmental sciences, climate, engineering, business or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in environmental management, sustainability, ESG or regulatory compliance.
• Good understanding of environmental and sustainability regulations and standards.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating activities across departments.
• Strong analytical abilities and confidence working with data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, independent approach with ability to identify risks and drive projects forward.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
