Senior Government Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Government Auditor to join CKH’s boutique accounting and financial services team. The role involves conducting financial and compliance audits of government agencies, departments, and programs to ensure resources are used efficiently and in line with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and compliance audits of government agencies, departments, and programs.
• Review financial statements, records, and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and corrective action recommendations.
• Communicate audit results to management and stakeholders.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation (required).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (desired).
• 2‑3 years of auditing experience, preferably with government audits.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and government regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with audit software.
