About the role

The Risk Events Management Department Manager will support the development and application of risk identification, assessment and management methods within a banking environment. The role involves analysing operational loss causes, collaborating with internal units to implement corrective actions, and delivering regular risk performance reports to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in selecting and applying methodologies for risk identification, assessment, re‑assessment, approval and management.
• Investigate causes of operational losses, coordinate remedial measures with relevant departments, and prepare loss reporting data.
• Analyse incident and loss outcomes and provide periodic and ad‑hoc reports to management.
• Drive initiatives that promote a strong risk culture across the organisation.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of control measures against established frameworks.

Required profile

• Higher education, preferably in economics or finance.
• Minimum five years of experience in the banking sector, including at least three years in risk‑related functions.
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani, English and Russian.
• Strong communication abilities and capacity to work effectively within a single team.
• Responsible, detail‑oriented attitude.
