Private Equity Investment Professional – Direct Investments

About the role

We are partnering with a large institutional investment platform to hire an experienced Private Equity Investment Professional for its Direct Investments team. The position will focus on sourcing and executing North American private equity opportunities, ranging from majority‑control deals to significant minority investments.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, evaluate and execute direct private equity investments across North America.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation and investment underwriting.
• Manage commercial, financial and operational due diligence processes.
• Structure and execute majority, minority and co‑investment transactions.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Negotiate transaction structures, governance rights and key commercial terms.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio company management teams on value‑creation initiatives.
• Support strategic M&A, growth projects and monitor investments through to exit.

Required profile

• Proven track record in private equity or direct investments.
• Experience executing North American transactions throughout the full deal lifecycle.
• Exposure to both control and significant minority investments.
• Background from a leading private equity fund, institutional investor, investment holding company or family office.
