Junior AP Accountant

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Global Operations Finance Team as a Junior Accounts Payable Accountant. You will support cash and banking activities, intercompany processes, and reporting for entities in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly cash‑flow reports to guarantee sufficient funds.
• Execute weekly payments for multiple entities in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
• Identify VAT invoices, coordinate with the Tax Accountant, and ensure timely payment.
• Create payment orders using internet banking platforms or the Trax payment tool and obtain necessary approvals.
• Collaborate with the Accenture team on payment proposals.
• Liaise with banks to resolve queries and provide proof of payments to vendors.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Process customs, VAT, and WHT payments via ERP systems and banking platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Business.
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, intermediate English and Russian.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in finance or accounting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using internet banking platforms.
• Familiarity with the Trax payment tool.
• Knowledge of ERP systems for payment processing.
