Java Software Developer – Microservices & Spring Boot

About the role

We are seeking a Java Software Developer to join our client in the insurance sector. The role focuses on building and enhancing banking‑related applications using modern Java technologies, microservices architecture, and Agile practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement and optimise RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Manage Oracle SQL database operations, including query optimisation and data handling.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications to ensure high reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams, participate in code reviews, and uphold development standards.
• Work closely with product and technical teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
