International Lawyer – European & German Law

About the role

We are seeking a fully qualified International Lawyer to join our Baku office and support cross‑border transactions involving European and German law. You will work closely with our German and other European teams, providing commercial‑focused legal advice to multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise international clients on cross‑border matters, especially those relating to European and German law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents in German and English.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on European and German legal issues.
• Support corporate, commercial, aviation and employment law projects.
• Participate in due‑diligence and cross‑border analyses.
• Maintain direct client contact and collaborate with colleagues in Germany and other jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer or internationally qualified legal professional.
• Strong knowledge of European and German law; LL.M. preferred.
• Ideally completed the First German State Examination or equivalent German qualification.
• Excellent English; German language skills highly desirable.
• Analytical, precise drafting and a pragmatic, business‑oriented approach.
• International mindset with strong communication skills for multicultural teams.
