About the role
UPLIFT Counseling is seeking graduate‑level interns to support adolescents and adults in a private practice in Baku. The traineeship provides hands‑on experience with trauma‑informed, neurodiversity‑affirming therapy under supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in supervised clinical sessions with real clients, applying evidence‑based interventions.
- Engage in weekly supervision and consultation, discussing cases and receiving feedback.
- Explore specialized topics such as suicide prevention, autism, ADHD, and trauma neurobiology.
- Develop therapist self‑care strategies and learn to manage secondary traumatic stress.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a master’s program in Clinical Psychology (2nd‑year students accepted).
- Commit 6‑10 hours per week, with availability in the late afternoon or evening (4 pm‑8 pm).
- Interest in trauma‑informed, neurodiversity‑affirming care and willingness to collaborate and receive feedback.
