Engineering Manager - Offshore Oil & Gas

About the role

KBR is looking for an Engineering Manager based in Baku. The role covers engineering management, design development, design assurance and interfaces across SOCAR-KBR projects, with a requirement for proven experience delivering offshore oil and gas brownfield projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering execution, including technical job setup, integrity and delivery, and prepare and maintain an engineering execution plan covering technical reviews, design assurance, peer reviews and progress reporting.
• Prepare the project design basis document, obtain and communicate site data and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with contract terms and SOCAR-KBR corporate policies.
• Implement design methods, including inherent safety, value-improving practices, quality checks of specifications, PFDs and P&IDs, and a weight database.
• Own the major equipment list, support constructability, and interface engineering with other SOCAR-KBR offices, joint venture partners, third parties and clients.
• Assist in preparing bid packages, purchase orders and subcontracts, and train, develop and mentor future Lead Engineers and Engineering Managers.

Required profile

• Senior professional with experience in multiple project deliveries as Engineering Manager, including onshore and offshore energy projects.
• Proven engineering management experience as EM on offshore O&G brownfield projects on the contractor side.
• Track record of project delivery in Europe, Middle East or Africa; Caspian experience is a plus.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineering qualification.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Azerbaijani and/or Russian is a plus.
• Adherence to the SOCAR-KBR and KBR Code of Business Conduct, and awareness of environmental and sustainability issues.
