About the role

The bank is looking for a Data Engineer to design, develop, test and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines. The role involves integrating data from core banking and other operational systems, ensuring data quality and supporting future data lake and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Integrate data from core banking and other source systems.
• Analyse source tables and create source‑to‑target mappings.
• Design and maintain fact tables, dimensions, data marts and historical data structures.
• Implement full and incremental data loading processes.
• Develop data validation, reconciliation, logging, monitoring and error‑handling mechanisms.
• Write and optimise SQL and PL/SQL code, database objects and ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with business analysts, report developers, DBAs, security teams and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development or related fields.
• Strong practical knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages and complex queries.
• Experience with at least one enterprise‑grade ETL tool.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Fluent Azerbaijani; intermediate or higher English; Russian is a plus.
