QA/QC Methods Lead

About the role

The QA/QC Methods Lead will support the Project QA/QC Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring the quality management system for a natural gas pipeline project in Baku, Azerbaijan. The role focuses on ensuring contractor and supplier compliance with project quality requirements and delivering clear quality reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of the Project Quality Management System and internal quality activities.
• Review quality documentation from contractors and suppliers, identify gaps against contract requirements, and raise concerns.
• Prepare quality summaries, highlights and reports for senior management.
• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures, SIMOPS procedures (if applicable) and reporting templates.
• Track and follow‑up non‑conformities, derogations and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality monitoring registers, indicators and dashboards.
• Conduct audits of vendors and contractors, and manage audit findings follow‑up.
• Monitor manufacturing KPIs for vendors and contractors.
• Ensure HSSE rules are applied within the area of responsibility and report hazards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in QA/QC within construction, oil & gas or pipeline projects.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and contract specifications.
• Ability to analyse and synthesize quality data from multiple sources.
• Experience conducting vendor and contractor audits and managing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with HSSE standards and ability to promote a safe work environment.
