About the role

The Corporate Banking Credit Specialist will work closely with client managers, credit risk underwriting, and risk management teams to ensure credit decisions align with the bank’s policies and risk framework. The role involves analysing client financials, forecasting cash flows, and supporting the structuring of optimal credit products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with client managers and risk teams to verify that credit decisions comply with the bank’s credit policy and risk management guidelines.
• Prepare cash‑flow models and DCF valuations to forecast clients’ future financial performance and debt capacity.
• Analyse financial statements, credit histories, and industry trends to assign internal risk grades.
• Monitor the financial health, liquidity ratios, and covenant compliance of an assigned client portfolio on an ongoing basis.
• Identify early‑warning signals by tracking market trends, economic changes, and regulatory updates.
• Develop credit proposals and limits, present them to the Credit Committee, and follow up on approvals.
• Participate in process‑improvement projects using SQL, Power BI, and AI/LLM tools to increase operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, credit analysis or financial modelling.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work responsibly within a team.
• Good communication skills in Azerbaijani and English; Russian is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 9, and financial statement analysis.
• Cash‑flow and DCF modelling expertise.
• CFA certification or participation in the CFA program (preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• SQL and Power BI experience (preferred).
