Spa Therapist

About the role

The Spa Therapist will deliver professional massage and body treatment services to guests at JW Marriott Absheron Baku, ensuring a relaxing and safe experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products.
• Perform body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and check for contraindications before each service.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of techniques and modalities.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and prepare workstations.
• Promote and sell spa services and related retail products.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain tools and treatment areas throughout the shift.
• Monitor treatment schedules and handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott SOPs.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and maintain required certifications.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least one year of relevant spa or massage experience.
• Valid state or regional massage license.
• Ability to stand, lift and move objects up to 10 lb and perform fine‑motor tasks.
• Commitment to uphold Marriott’s policies, confidentiality and professional appearance.

Required skills

• Massage therapy techniques.
• Body treatment methods (scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy).
• Operation of spa equipment and use of treatment products.
• Sanitation and sterilization procedures for tools and workspaces.
