About the role

The position is responsible for designing, building, testing and supporting reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines for the bank’s core and operational source systems. The role works closely with business analysts, reporting developers and security teams to ensure data quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain full and incremental data loading processes, including source‑to‑target mapping and dimensional modeling.
• Develop, optimise and monitor SQL and PL/SQL queries, database objects and ETL workflows.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, logging, monitoring and error‑handling mechanisms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document technical specifications, data lineage and governance requirements.
• Contribute to future data‑lake, streaming and advanced analytics initiatives.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development or database development.
• Strong practical knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages and complex queries.
• Hands‑on experience with an enterprise‑grade ETL tool and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of data‑warehouse architecture, dimensional modelling and incremental loading patterns.
• Proficiency with version‑control systems (e.g., Git) and ability to work in a regulated banking environment.
