Finance Analyst – Business Planning & Commercial Operations

About the role

Join BP as a Finance Coordinator supporting strategic and business planning activities, including business case development, economic evaluations, financial reporting and commercial agreement value optimisation. This graduate‑level position offers exposure to the energy industry and development of strong analytical, commercial and technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support development of annual plans and latest estimate updates.
• Analyse budgets, calculate accruals and assist with partner reporting under Production Sharing Agreements.
• Use commercial models to evaluate business cases and inform investment decisions.
• Contribute to area development plans, planning forecasts and long‑term plan submissions.
• Assist with financial reporting, performance analysis and participation in partner workshops.

Required profile

• Strong commercial and value‑driven attitude.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of programming languages, preferably Python.
