Broker Consultant II

About the role

We are looking for a Broker Consultant II to manage a portfolio of brokers, act as the primary liaison between insurance carriers and brokers, and support the Emerson Rogers (ER) relationship. The role involves providing day‑to‑day service, training, and mentorship while ensuring smooth processing of new business, renewals and plan changes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned broker book and coordinate daily customer service.
• Serve as liaison between carriers and brokers, addressing claims, billing and service issues.
• Mentor internal staff and train brokers on products and processes.
• Process new business applications, renewals, broker‑of‑record letters and plan changes.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and maintain accurate data in commission and client databases.
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, vendors and internal teams, ensuring service standards are met.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in group health insurance (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Life & Health license or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
