Senior Document Controller

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Senior Document Controller to lead document management activities for major energy and infrastructure projects in Baku. The role involves ensuring compliance with company procedures, supporting project teams, and maintaining high‑quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, organize and manage document management processes in line with Saipem procedures.
• Coordinate with Document Controllers, Function Representatives and Document Service Assistants.
• Define and set up the Project Document Management Process and progress calculations.
• Control client approval processes, document submissions and final hand‑over to the client.
• Maintain document registers, master data lists and ensure formal correctness of documentation.
• Provide Help Desk support for Document Management tools and train distant sites.
• Support risk owners and the Project Manager in minimizing risk impacts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar document control role within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proactive ability to define and implement tools, procedures and techniques for scope changes.
• Knowledge of project control tools and ability to prepare reliable reporting documents.
• Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
