Experienced Legal Consultant in the Tax & Legal Department

About the role

PwC is seeking an experienced Legal Consultant to join its Tax & Legal Department in Azerbaijan. The role involves providing legal support, conducting research, and delivering advice to internal stakeholders and clients while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and provide high‑quality legal service.
• Research and analyse complex legal issues, draft briefs, contracts, memoranda, reports and presentations.
• Conduct due‑diligence and legal research in legislation and case law.
• Provide legal advice on civil law matters and participate in client meetings.
• Prepare fee estimates, quotations and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B or equivalent) with a top‑grade academic record; an LL.M. from an overseas university is a plus.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a leading law firm as a practicing or consulting lawyer.
• Strong written and spoken Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage.
• Excellent research, drafting and analytical abilities, with a proven record of legal memoranda and reports.
• Professional conduct, discretion with confidential information and a client‑service mindset.
