Electrical Engineer for PV Power Plant Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the solar power plant project in Azerbaijan. The role involves leading electrical design, on‑site implementation, testing, commissioning and overall project management for a large‑scale photovoltaic installation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project scope, budget, schedule, quality and resources.
• Identify risks, track progress and implement preventive actions.
• Coordinate between client, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and field teams.
• Review and follow DC/AC cabling, switchgear, grounding and protection system designs.
• Prepare or verify layout plans, single‑line diagrams, technical specifications and material lists.
• Perform power distribution, cable sizing, voltage‑drop, grounding, load‑flow and protection‑coordination calculations.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, client specifications, local regulations and international standards.
• Supervise on‑site electrical installation and verify conformity with approved drawings.
• Collaborate with construction, mechanical, quality, HSE and project‑management teams.
• Review supplier technical offers, equipment data and approval documents.
• Report field progress regularly and develop action plans for any delays.
• Manage or support testing and commissioning activities and resolve technical issues.
• Contribute actively to quality control, site inspections and health‑safety practices.

Required profile

• Proven project‑management experience on large‑scale solar power plant projects.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design and field implementation for power‑generation, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, distribution, protection, grounding and grid connection.
• Familiarity with IEC standards and local grid regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Microsoft Project, ETAP or photovoltaic design tools is a plus.
• Ability to read technical documents and communicate effectively in English.
• Team‑coordination skills, solution‑oriented mindset and willingness to work on‑site in Azerbaijan.
