About the role

This position is responsible for the effective management of risks related to the bank's data assets. The specialist will identify, assess, and mitigate risks in data governance, data quality, and data security, while monitoring risk controls across data storage, processing, and transmission.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and continuously monitor data‑related risks across the bank.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation measures for data governance and data quality.
• Ensure data security and proper usage in line with internal policies and procedures.
• Evaluate risks in data storage, transmission, and processing activities.
• Prepare risk indicators (KRI) and risk appetite limits (RAS) and report regularly to senior management.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to resolve data quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, IT or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in banking, finance or risk management, with knowledge of data risk, data governance or operational risk.
• Strong analytical thinking and risk assessment abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Azerbaijani and English.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with multiple departments.

Required skills

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK)
• Statistical analysis and data modelling experience
