Completion & Subsea Senior Supervisor

About the role

The Completion & Subsea Senior Supervisor will lead safe and efficient subsea and completion operations for a major offshore development in the Caspian region. Based in Baku, the role supports a leading global energy company and works closely with contractors, logistics teams and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all subsea and completion activities, ensuring compliance with HSE and project procedures.
• Lead day‑to‑day interactions with service companies, contractors and logistics providers.
• Oversee specific operations such as subsea landing string, coil tubing, slickline, well testing, ROV missions, tubing hanger and Christmas tree installations, and open‑water interventions.
• Support the Company Representative in minimizing non‑productive time and resolving operational issues.
• Review operational sequences, equipment availability and personnel requirements for safe execution.
• Conduct QA/QC checks on delivered equipment and participate in pre‑operation meetings, risk assessments and debriefings.
• Monitor performance, report to project management and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of oil & gas supervisory experience, including at least 5 years in subsea/completion roles.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary offshore teams and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements, risk management and offshore well‑control practices.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.
• Relevant offshore certifications are highly valued.
