Chief Storekeeper

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Chief Storekeeper to manage warehouse operations on an offshore construction vessel. The role ensures efficient, cost‑effective handling of consumables, spare parts and equipment while complying with safety, quality and corporate procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate request, reception, storage, reservation and distribution of materials and spare parts.
• Manage material receiving, inspection, discrepancy reporting and storage in designated facilities.
• Maintain warehouse activity records in the VMT system and update purchase order information.
• Lead and assign tasks to the warehouse team, train new storekeepers and oversee periodic inventory analyses.
• Prepare shipments, packing lists and ensure timely information flow to vessel management and corporate departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of storekeeping experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
• Strong knowledge of electronic data processing systems and material handling methodologies.
• Understanding of safety, quality, Permit‑to‑Work procedures and appropriate use of PPE.
