About the role

The Head Zootecnician will lead the planning, organization and management of animal nutrition, housing and breeding processes for a livestock farm in the Biləsuvar district. The role focuses on optimizing feed rations, improving productivity of milk, meat, eggs, wool and other outputs, and ensuring bio‑security and animal welfare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and supervise animal feeding, housing and breeding operations.
• Develop, balance and monitor feed rations, ensuring nutritional adequacy.
• Implement measures to increase milk, meat, egg, wool and other productivity indicators.
• Coordinate breeding programs, selection processes and genetic improvement activities.
• Collaborate with veterinary services for disease prevention and bio‑security.
• Ensure compliance with production norms, zoohygienic requirements and animal housing standards.
• Maintain statistical records of zootechnical indicators, analyse data and prepare reports.
• Lead and allocate tasks for zootechnicians and farm staff, providing guidance and training.
• Introduce new technologies, modern zootechnical approaches and innovative methods into production.

Required profile

• Higher education in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of experience in animal nutrition or livestock management.
• Strong knowledge of feed value calculation, protein, energy, mineral and vitamin balance.
• Familiarity with modern feeding technologies such as TMR and phased feeding.
• Understanding of technical requirements for livestock buildings and micro‑climate standards.
• Knowledge of the operation principles of milking, feed distribution and other mechanised equipment.
• Ability to calculate, analyse and evaluate productivity indicators.
• Experience with accounting and reporting software, including Excel and farm management systems.
• Knowledge of bio‑security, sanitation standards, zootechnics, animal anatomy and physiology.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using farm management and accounting software.
