Senior Subsea Operations Engineer

About the role

The Senior Subsea Operations Engineer is responsible for controlling the safe and reliable operation of the EPS facilities within budget and schedule. The role supports the Full Field Development of the Absheron project and acts as the technical authority for subsea production systems. The engineer works in a multicultural environment with documents in Azerbaijani and English.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and execution of subsea inspections and interventions such as ILI and ROV inspections.
• Assist the Smart Room Manager with engineering and technical developments of the operating facility.
• Act as the technical authority for all subsea production system issues.
• Support site and maintenance teams in day‑to‑day subsea equipment follow‑up and maintenance.
• Ensure subsea documentation is up‑to‑date and complies with LOF contracts.
• Prepare and follow up subsea studies (EPRS, obsolescence, etc.) and manage subsea stock preservation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Subsea Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in subsea operations and interventions.
• In‑depth knowledge of subsea production system operations, maintenance, and offshore project management.
• Experience with vessel mobilization/demobilization, ILI pigging, and process safety assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL).
