Senior Buyer – Oil & Gas (Nationals Only)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities for goods, services and subcontracted works within the oil and gas sector. The role ensures that purchases meet cost, schedule, quality and company requirements while complying with HSEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors based on purchasing requests and support them in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare commercial bid tabulations, compare proposals and recommend actions to improve results or select vendors.
• Lead commercial and economic negotiations and draft purchase orders or subcontract agreements in line with standard terms and project-specific conditions.
• Close out bid processes, confirm purchase orders with selected vendors and notify unsuccessful bidders.
• Monitor and negotiate purchase order or subcontract revisions as needed.
• Review technical documentation accompanying purchase requisitions and manage contractual documentation archiving.
• Perform all activities in compliance with company procedures, tools and HSEQ policies.

Required profile

• Higher education qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar procurement role within the oil and gas industry.
• Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
