Public Relations Officer

About the role

Ark Energy, an advisory firm focused on energy efficiency, digitalization and decarbonization, is looking for an experienced, results-driven Public Relations Officer to represent it in Baku, Azerbaijan. The role focuses on building relationships with key stakeholders, especially government entities, and involves flexible working hours with evaluation based on KPIs. It reports directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, officials and regulatory authorities, and act as the main liaison between the company and them
• Organize and run high-level meetings, events and forums to promote the company's offerings
• Develop and run lobbying strategies to influence public policy and improve project acquisition opportunities
• Create partnership opportunities with government entities and other stakeholders
• Monitor legislative developments and prepare press releases, speeches and public statements for government and institutional audiences
• Monitor media coverage and public sentiment and report regularly to senior management
• Represent the company at public events, official meetings and conferences, and handle crises professionally
• Provide regular progress updates against KPIs

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven public relations experience, with a strong focus on government entities
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Business Administration or a related field; a master's degree is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage
• Strong understanding of government processes and key stakeholders in Azerbaijan

• Ability to draft, edit and present high-quality written and verbal communications
• Strategic thinking, organization and project management skills
• Proficiency with social media, PR tools and Microsoft Office
