Mobile Architect (iOS/Android)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Architect with strong expertise in iOS and Android platforms, mobile application architecture, and scalable and secure solutions to join projects for our client operating in the banking sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and guide the development of high‑performance, secure mobile applications for iOS and Android within the banking domain.
• Define and continuously improve mobile architecture, technical standards, design patterns and best practices.
• Lead decisions on modularisation, API integration, security, performance and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership to iOS and Android teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Take a hands‑on role in development when needed and help solve complex technical challenges.
• Ensure seamless, secure integration with backend services, REST APIs and banking systems.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to memory, threading and responsiveness.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce clean code, OOP, SOLID, architectural and security standards.
• Support mobile security practices in line with banking and information‑security requirements.
• Collaborate with product, analysis, backend, DevOps, security, QA and other technology teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD, release management, automation and DevOps practices for mobile apps.
• Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and drive adoption where they add value.
• Mentor developers, promote knowledge sharing and improve engineering practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, technical planning, estimation and delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Strong technical leadership skills with a hands‑on approach.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Git and JIRA.

Required skills

• iOS development (Swift, Core Data, GCD, SnapKit, NSLayoutConstraint).
• Android development (Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, memory management, threading, performance optimisation).
• Mobile architectural patterns: MVVM, MVVM+C, VIPER, Clean Swift, MVP, modular architecture.
• Object‑Oriented Programming, SOLID principles.
• REST API integration and backend service connectivity.
• Source‑control and dependency management: Git, CocoaPods, SPM.
• CI/CD, release management and DevOps practices for mobile.
• Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA).
