Kiçik Geotexnik Mühəndisi (Ağdərə)

About the role

The company is looking for a Small Geotechnical Engineer to join its mining operations in Ağdərə, Azerbaijan. The role involves daily field inspections, data collection and technical reporting to support safe and efficient extraction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily mine inspections to monitor slope stability and identify potential geotechnical risks.
• Assess physical‑mechanical properties of rock masses and evaluate groundwater geotechnical parameters.
• Perform geotechnical and structural logging of drill cores.
• Participate in collection of rock samples for laboratory and field testing.
• Carry out geotechnical mapping to define geological and structural features.
• Assist in field and laboratory tests required for strength parameter evaluation.
• Support preparation of technical reports, graphics and other geotechnical documentation based on field and lab data.
• Comply with company health, safety and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Geology, Mining Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Rock Mass Classification.
• Fundamental understanding of geotechnical principles and geological data analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving and ability to work in a team and in field conditions.
• Work experience in geotechnical, geological or related areas is desirable.
• English language skills are an advantage.
• Preference will be given to internally displaced candidates.
