Flow Assurance Engineer – National Candidates Only

About the role

The Flow Assurance Engineer will ensure the Absheron FFD production system can be safely commissioned, started, operated, pigged, shut down and restarted throughout its life, while protecting asset integrity and preventing hydrate, wax and other flow‑related incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Define, coordinate and validate flow‑assurance activities across engineering, commissioning, start‑up and operations, including hydraulic, thermal and transient analyses.
• Develop and maintain the Flow Assurance Dossier, operating envelopes, hydrate and wax management strategies, pigging philosophy and frequency plans.
• Review contractor studies and simulation models to ensure consistency across wells, subsea systems, pipelines and MEG facilities.
• Support pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up tasks such as hydro‑testing, de‑watering, MEG conditioning and hydrocarbon introduction, and validate field performance against models.
• Maintain the Flow Assurance Risk Register and provide technical assurance for all deliverables.

Required profile

• BA/MA degree in Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of oil‑and‑gas experience, including at least 5 years in flow assurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and vendors.
• Demonstrated HSE leadership and ability to work in field operations environments.
